Georgian Garnet Buckle Brooch glass A beautiful Georgian dove pendantDATE: Georgian, c. 1834 A cool Georgian buckle brooch set with foil backed rose cut garnets. It features an inscription to the reverse: "GC 1834". It's modelled in "garnet gold" which is basically gold with a fineness slightly lower than 9 karat, often used to set semiprecious stones such as garnet.
