Vintage Royal Doulton Black Transferware Creamware Scenic French Cottage Plate Cutaway Embossed Border Antique Staffordshire 5" x about 1" deepFrom Royal Doulton is this absolutely gorgeous black transferware creamware plate depicting charming lake side cottages with pretty gardens set against a mountain backdrop. The cut away embossed border of the plate is one of the most beautiful I've seen and makes the entire piece just come alive. Condition: No chips or cracks, there is age crazing and some minor browning. One plate (sold individually) has a small, dark blue, ink spot under the glaze.
