Antique Cased Ambrotype Image Young Boy W&WH Lewis Featured • Star screwdriver & hexWhat we love: This handsome young boy presents a striking figure in his fancy dress suit complete with cravat, pocket watch, and chain. We dont know any history about him except that the portrait was shot by W & W H Lewis in New York City. W & W. H. Lewis created some of the first professional cameras in the US. Ambrotypes were introduced in the mid 1850s and are produced on glass. They lack a mirror finish like daguerrerotypes. This is a wonderful
