Sadly, Biz's husband, Don passed away from cancer and Biz was left to carry on. Friends, students, and nature all became her emotional life jacket, giving hope, inspiration, reasons to live fully and allowing her time to learn to swim once again on her own. Biz now lives in Ketchikan, Alaska, where she taught English and mathematics at
