The outer is made from a striking, very substantial black ballistic nylon, with orange contrast lining. The trousers are put on (and as you may imagine, also removed) via a heavyweight metal zip that runs the full length of the right leg, allowing them to be opened up and stepped into, and also allowing them (the trousers) to be worn partially open.
