For some reason I am convinced this is early-1960s

opened in Houston in 1917 and sadly sold in the late 1980s and finally shuttered in 1990

Then sewed it on with contrast blanket stitch

It's in a crepe fabric that could well be silk, but I cannot be sure, and it's lined in plain off white cotton. No fastenings, no labels.
